WHEN SHOULD WE ARRIVE FOR OUR TRIP?
Please arrive 20 minutes before your trip reservation time. Once at the office, you will fill out some paperwork and be fitted for PFDs (personal floatation devices)
What should I wear?
No matter what the weather we recommend you bring closed toe shoes and swim attire. Cotton is not recommended on the river due to the retention of moisture and slow dry times. Synthetic and quick dry materials are your best choice. We also recommend a pair of sunglasses and sunscreen on sunny days.
DO YOU TAKE PHOTOS AND/OR CAN I BRING MY CAMERA?
Like you, and everything else on the river, your camera will get wet. You are allowed to bring your own camera but please keep in mind that if you drop it, it is likely lost forever. This year, our guides will bring a camera out on the river to provide free photos for your group. Go to the photos tab to see your photos after your trip.
SHOULD I BRING MY WALLET, CAR KEYS, AND CELL PHONE ON THE RIVER?
No! You should not bring these items on the river with you. Anything dropped in the river, belongs to the river. We encourage guests to lock their belongings in their car and the front desk can hold your keys until you get back.
Should we tip our guide?
Rafting is a part of the service industry and with that, tips are very appreciated but not required. When tipping, cash is king, but all guides take Venmo as well.
ARE RAFTing TRIPS CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER?
Rafting trips here at Adventures in Whitewater go down the river rain or shine! We raft on the water so a little more coming down from the sky does not discourage our guides.
